ARE THERE RESOURCES TO HELP WITH THE CAMPOUT FEE FOR FAMILIES WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THEM?
Yes. The most important part of this event is for as many students to attend as possible. If a family is not able to afford the campout fee, they need to contact the campus counselor. We will not turn away a family for financial reasons. This information will remain confidential.
Can my Whole Family Camp?
You may add a second parent camping to your registration. We just ask that each child camping be a 4 year old incoming Puster kindergartner through 4th grade. We can not accommodate younger or older siblings at this time.
CAN WE PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT BUT NOT CAMPOUT?
Yes, you are welcome to enjoy the events and then go home, but you will need to pay full price for your entrance. There will not be discounted tickets for those that do not participate in ALL the night's events.
Will their be activities for my Kinder age child?
YES, we take a look at every activity and make sure we have activities like petting zoos and smaller bounce houses for even our youngest campers.
I AM WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY.
We will have security throughout the night. Any issues that arise will be taken care of By the Security Resource Officer on Site.
IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED FOR PARENTS?
No, this event is on school grounds and thus no alcohol or smoking is Permitted. WE will have Fairview Police patrolling the area all day and night for security purposes.
Where will we use the bathroom?
The school will be open for restroom use. We will also have Portable toilets at the back of the campsites for use.
What about Chiggers and Ants?
The district will treat the campground for chiggers and ants prior to the day of the event.
WHEN WILL REGISTRATION BEGIN?
Registration will begin February 7.
WHat Do I need to Bring?
Tent - (see tent size below)
Lantern or flashlights
Sleeping bags, bedding, pillow
Air Mattress if desired
Change of Clothes
Wagon for Hauling gear to campsites
WHat should I not Bring?
What size tent should I bring?
Each camping lot is 14' x 14'. All tents, lawn chairs and other items should fit in your camping Spot.
Where should I park?
THERe is NO Parking on Hart Road. but Parking will be available on the Other streets surrounding the school. Reserved parking will be available for our Convenience package campers.
What time is check-in?
Leopard Club members and Camper Convenience - 4:30 pm
Regular Campers - 5:30 PM
Where do I go for Check-in?
Please enter through the main lobby of the school. registration will be located In the Lobby of the School.
I am volunteering for the Event. Where do I go to check-in for my shift?
Please go to the MOm Zone located in the lobby of the school. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled shift time. Remember to wear your volunteer t-shirt.
What kind of Food will be available?
We will have many great food options for you and your little campers! We are sensitive to food allergies so please do not hesitate to contact us should you have a question about the food.
Do I need to Bring a cOoler?
We will have a variety of beverages available throughout the entire event, so a cooler is not necessary. however, feel free to bring one if you want. Available beverages will include: Water, Sodas, Juice boxes, Coffee (breakfast only), Orange Juice (Breakfast Only) and Milk (Breakfast only).
Do I Need to bring any money?
No. All of your meals, snacks and drinks come with your registration.
Will Everyone be up all night?
Lights out will be at 10:30 pm. While you don't have to go to sleep, you do need to be respectful of those that do.
Can Mom come eat with us?
Please remember that the amount of food planned for the event is based on the number of registered adults and children. But, if you would like to add a second parent to your camp registration you may.
